Outline the sitting puppy
One soft contour: round head, floppy ears, plump body, curled tail.
Add the face cross and leg guides
Head circle with a cross, oval guides for the front legs.
Draw the real features lightly
Round eyes on the cross, wide nose, open smile with the tongue.
Erase guides, clean the outline
Keep the brows, tongue and toes; only construction lines go.
Fill flat local colours
Tan ears and back, cream chest and paws, dark brown eyes — no shading yet.
Shade and add the highlights
Darker tan under the ears and chin, soft ground shadow, sparks in the eyes.
